If Only I Were That Satisfied With Simple Things

The other day I watched Chandler as he crawled excitedly across the kitchen where I was preparing his diaper bag for the following day. At first I thought he was coming to climb on my legs and reach for me as he often does when I am standing, but then he stopped, turned and headed the other direction just as quickly as he came. Within a matter of seconds I heard that familiar sound- a sweet, high-pitched squeal of pleasure that always puts a smile on my face.

What caused this squeal? Not his riding toy, ball popper, or even his Scout toy from Christmas that says his name, but an empty Aquafina water bottle filled with dry elbow noodles. If only I were as satisfied with the simple things in life...

Pro Life = Pro Love

This past week was Sanctity of Life week. At church, we heard the testimony of a lady who formerly worked at an abortion clinic, but who is now Pro Life and working to encourage others to learn the truth as well. Our pastor preached a sermon that had almost everyone present in tears, and many of us made the commitment to pray daily for those who are working in abortion clinics that they may be convicted of the sins they commit. So many pregnant girls and women are lied to...they are made to believe that there are no other options, but there are. Too many innocent lives are taken on a daily basis all around us, some in places that would surprise you.

No matter what the abortionists say, life begins the moment of conception, and the only one who should have the power to take that life is the Lord himself. Jesus created each and every human being for HIS glory. In Psalm 139, the Bible tells us that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made". He loves each and every one of us, no matter the circumstances from which we were conceived.

If you believe this, and you are as burdened as I am, please join me in praying for the abortionists, as well as those who are contemplating abortions even this very day.  Life is too precious!

Trying It All Out

So, I have plenty of friends who have been blogging for a while now, and yes, it has caught my interest. I started out by taking a look at a few blogs created by people I know, and I found myself drawn into them. I enjoyed learning about the things going on in the daily lives of so many, and I really wanted to share the happenings of our family, too. I am, trying it all out for myself.

As you can tell, there is very little on my page at all, and part of that is due to the fact that I really don't know how to add all that much yet. If you are my friend, and you are reading this, please pass on any good tips you have about building my page. Until next time...
